Monday 9th January 2012: Options form available for completion
Students may complete the form on line. There are three option boxes.
Option box 1 contains the Modern Foreign Languages. The students will choose 1 of these modern foreign languages: French, German or Russian. Please remember that if a student is currently studying Latin then they have to study the other language to GCSE level as Latin is not considered to be a modern foreign language. Students can only choose foreign languages they have been studying at school during Years 8 and 9. They cannot pick up another language from scratch in Year 10.
Option box 2 contains the Humanity subjects
Option box 3 contains the free choices. The students will choose 2 subjects from Art, Business studies, Drama, French, Geography, History, Latin, Media, Music, GCSE PE, Product design, GCSE RE, Russian and Textiles. In this box they must indicate their choices by placing a ‘1’ next to their first choice subject and a ‘2’ next to their second choice subject. We will try to give everyone their first two choices from box 3. However, this may not always be possible. To help, the students must place a ‘3’ next to their third choice subject and a ‘4’ next to their fourth choice subject.
