For AS the focus is very much on British politics covering topics that include the Labour and Conservative parties, the British Constitution, Parliament, Commons and Lords and the growing importance of pressure groups.
At A2 we study eight political ideologies.
Conservatism, Liberalism, Socialism and Anarchism: ideas that are bound together by their concern about relationship between the individual and the state.
In addition we study more recent ideological developments such as feminism, ecologism and multi-culturalism.
