On Thursday 13th October, all of the Year 7's participated in the show and workshop “Deadly Distraction” which was performed by The Riot Act. After watching a dramatisation of a road traffic accident where a school child is hit by a car when not crossing the road safely, the Year 7's participated in a workshop where they were encouraged to think about the messages from the play that could be relevant to them and their journey to and from school. This led to a further discussion where pupils were asked to consider the immediate vicinity of the school and identify the safest options when arriving at or leaving the school. The morning was both interesting and informative – thank you to the Riot Act!
