World Book Day March 1st

We are excited to welcome award-winning local author Sita Brahmachari to talk to Year 7 in their WBD assembly. Sita's books are set in contemporary North London . Her characters deal with growing up, school, college, family and friendships. She weaves in important themes such as home and homelessness (Red Leaves) and the environment (Tender Earth). Sita has an extensive background in youth drama, and is an Amnesty International ambassador.

Reading a wide range of books makes us curious, and helps us to understand our society and empathise with other people in their unique situations. We look forward to another great, interactive WBD. Check out the website http://www.worldbookday.com
